We could stop shitting where we eat…. Will we??

Perhaps these words may sound a bit crude, but as I sit here pondering the curious predicament of our species, I can’t help but marvel at the paradoxical nature of our existence. You see, we humans possess a remarkable gift — the gift of reason. We are endowed with intelligence, creativity, and the capacity to shape our world. We have built towering cities that scrape the heavens, split atoms, and journeyed to the depths of space. Our achievements are undeniably awe-inspiring, and yet, amidst all our triumphs, there lies a peculiar blind spot. A perpetual tendency to shit we we eat!, metaphorically speaking, of course.

Let’s start with our treatment of the planet, our majestic home. It’s as if we’re playing a strange game of cosmic hide-and-seek, transforming lush forests into sprawling concrete jungles. We exchange the sweet scent of nature for exhaust fumes and the incessant symphony of honking horns. We pollute rivers and oceans, turning them into toxic wastelands unfit for even the hardiest of creatures. In our relentless pursuit of individualism and personal gain, we’ve erected walls that isolate us from the very connections that give life meaning. We’ve forgotten that we’re all participants in this cosmic dance, each one of us a unique thread in the tapestry of humanity. When we harm others, we harm ourselves. When we sow division and hatred, we poison the very air we breathe.
