Writing Consistently for 9 Months Made Me Quit My 9–5
This week, I felt even more grateful for my life of time freedom than I usually do. My family made an impromptu plan for a staycation with our relatives, and I didn’t have to think twice before saying yes.No taking permission, worrying about work — anything. Those two days felt like the old times when you have no worries and can just be. All nine of us were in a room, talking and laughing all day. It felt like my summer holidays where we had so much undisturbed family time. This is a time I was pulled into countless Zoom calls at work where I wasn’t required. So I’d just surf the internet on the side to read about other people who actually had a life they enjoyed.Of course, I thought it was just an internet thing and definitely not for me.But I secretly wanted it. I also wanted to do what I love, work less, stress out less about meaningless stuff like corporate politics, and earn well.
