UFOs Persist

1978 to 2023, UFOs Persist!

It was rough back in 1978. The newspaper was delivered by cargo plane. Kaikoura, New Zealand, UFO lights incident was dismissed by skeptics as a hoax, and confusion: they were looking at Venus or Jupiter. You can rule out Venus and Jupiter, as neither were above the horizon at the time of the sighting, and also, Venus and Jupiter don’t ping in on radar. An analysis by the US military said these were metallic crafts. We were seeing things then, mass sightings like the flap over the White House 1950s. We’re seeing them now. What is this?MUFON and NUFORC must be busy. Might be time for a new recruit drive. It would be nice to see some younger folks joining. NUFORC started taking reports in 1946. They have a pretty sizable database and they rank Maryland as 25th place for sightings. As sightings go, this is pretty solid. They have many reports from many different people of lights, and sounds as if someone was blowing trumpets.I am not sure how to sort this statement. Citizen initiated reports and agencies recording these reports has been the only thing available to the people. Media ignored us, the governments ignored us and threatened us, and scientists ridiculed us. If it weren’t for the citizens becoming more vocal about seeing stuff, you could reasonably wonder if they would be saying nothing to see here. And it’s not misidentifying planets. It’s not weather balloons or swamp gas. Seriously, flying over the ocean near New Zealand in 1978, on two different occasions?! It wasn’t drones in 1978 or in the 1950s. Could be drones over Maryland. Someone’s got to rule…
