5 Insane Rulers Who Made History — You Won’t Believe Their Madness!

Today, we’re diving into the wild world of history and meeting five rulers who were so crazy, it’s like they stepped out of a bizarre storybook. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride through the minds of these rulers! 👑 Emperor Caligula: The Roman Psycho Meet Emperor Caligula, a guy who took being a dictator to a whole new level. He once tried to make his horse, Incitatus, a priest and senator and even sculpted a massive marble statue in its honor. But that’s just the beginning of his madness. He personally tortured, violated, and murdered citizens, even children, during public executions. Oh, and he once ordered the front rows at the Roman Circus to be fed to lions because he ran out of prisoners to entertain him.

And don’t even get us started on the incest with his sisters. No wonder the Romans let his body rot in the streets after assassinating him. Imagine having a ruler who acted like a perpetual 14-year-old. That was Emperor Zhengde of China. He spent more time playing make-believe than ruling. He built a fake city in his palace and pretended to be a shopkeeper, making his servants join in on his little game. He even dressed up as a general and led his own army to plunder his own villages, all while adopting an alter ego named Zhu Shou and sporting a wig to deny his true identity. His reign ended in a tragically drunken drowning episode.
